But long before that, we had embarked on a mission to correct some details in this classic guitar pedal &#8211; from years of work came the Icarus, which has its DNA based on the Klon, but with its own details, like the gain control, which is linear, meaning: you can have subtle doses of overdrive starting from the 9 o&#8217;clock position and then increase the gain according to each one&#8217;s taste. In the original pedal, it&#8217;s very difficult to get gain before the 12 o&#8217;clock position.<\/p>\n<p>Another adjustment the Icarus has compared to the original is in the treble control, which we have shifted a bit towards the mid-bass region. This makes it the best Klon-style drive to use with Marshall amplifiers, for example. Overall, it&#8217;s a delight to have one of the most popular overdrive and booster pedals in history.
